In the Saryagash district of Turkestan region stretches fertile valley, where a thousand years ago grew mulberry trees (mulberry) and produced high-quality silk for the great ancient rulers. Silkworm leaves served as food for silkworms and the silkworm cocoons were later used to produce high-quality silk for travelers and the rich caravans that linked East Asia with the Mediterranean.
On the outskirts of the village of Karnak, which is 25 km from Turkestan and 12 km from Kentau even today you can see a huge old mulberry tree, which is located on the territory of the holy place "Imam Bahil Awliye". Without a doubt, the mulberry is more than a hundred years old.
The venerable age of the tree is evidenced by the large size of the trunk with a hollow, where several people can fit freely, sprawling and withered in most of the branches. The diameter of the trunk of the mulberry is approximately 3 meters, the girth measurement is more than 9 meters.
In addition to planting vineyards, we were able to revive the walnut forest, restore and expand the alley of mulberry trees consisting of more than a thousand unique trees.
That's where the name of the new modernized enterprise for the production of high-quality vintage wines Silk Alley Wine Factory
