Right before the international wine exhibition ProWein in Düsseldorf there is a unique world competition MUNDUS VINI, organized by the well-known German publishing house Meininger. Each year, more than 12,000 winemakers from around the world apply to participate in this prestigious competition. What makes this contest special? The tastings are conducted in total blindness, and each drink is judged by great oenologists, sommeliers, wine industry experts and journalists.
And now, from February 21 to 26, the Spring Tasting of Mundus Vini 2023, dedicated to the variety of wines, brings us back to this fascinating atmosphere of boundless creativity and passion. Silk Alley is proud to return to this world stage for more than the first time.
Silk Alley wines performed outstandingly in this competition. MUSCAT OTTONEL 2016 was awarded a gold medal and RKATSITELI 2017 received a silver medal. In addition, SAPERAVI 2019 and CHARDONNAY 2020 received a score of 86.
