In 2010, it was decided to build a winery complex with the beautiful name Chateau Silk Alley.

In 2010, it was decided to build a winery complex with the beautiful name Chateau Silk Alley. This project was the result of many years of climate data research, carried out in partnership with highly qualified specialists from the prestigious Institut d'Oenologie de l'Universite de Bordeaux in France (Institut d'Oenologie de l'Universite de Bordeaux II). Thus, we were able to implement the conceived idea of creating a Kazakh winemaking, which now allows us to compete with the world leaders in wine production. As a result of all these efforts, our Chateau Silk Alley winery becomes not only a place of high-quality wine production, but also a real natural place where magnificent vineyards and clear lakes are combined.

Industrial complex

Our winery, using advanced techniques and a modern approach, produces an exquisite wine that combines art and science. We have a meticulous process of creating wines, starting from the moment the grapes are harvested, but the true magic begins with the skill of blending. This process involves combining different grape varieties and winemaking art to achieve the perfect balance of flavor and aroma.

This is followed by the storage and ripening phase of the wine, which is carried out in specially created conditions. Here the wine rests in oak barrels, where its character and depth of flavor gradually develop. This process requires patience and attention to detail to ensure that each bottle of wine allows its full potential to unfold.

The bottling is an integral step in which connoisseurs of winemaking put their skill and experience to work. The filling of each bottle is carefully monitored to maintain uniqueness and impeccable quality.

But our adventure in the world of wine does not end here. An important aspect is controlling oxidation to keep the wine fresh and beautiful throughout.

Specialists at the winery closely monitor the oxidation process, preventing its undesirable effects and keeping the wine in its ideal condition. Thus, each bottle created in this modern factory carries a uniqueness and elegance that deserves admiration. It follows a modern approach to wine production, combining technological advances with the art of winemaking. And the result is a wine that not only satisfies taste preferences, but also embodies the true art of creating this noble beverage.

Chateau

On the expanse of farmland where our wine château is located, we are developing a number of additional industries to ensure that our complex has all the advantages it needs. A variety of forms of agriculture coexist here, creating a unique atmosphere.

Beekeeping occupies a special place in our chateau. The industrious toilers – bees, industriously collecting nectar from flowers, help to create ideal conditions for pollination of plants, including grapevines, their 150 families in Silk Alley Chateau.

Sheep farming also plays an important role in the Château. Herds of sheep graze on vast pastures that maintain ecological balance.

Poultry farming pays off in the form of fresh meat and eggs. We care about the well-being of our feathered friends, providing them with comfortable living conditions, which in turn is reflected in the quality of products. We have different kinds of birds: several breeds of chickens, geese, ducks and guinea fowl.

Fish breeding has become an integral part of our complex. In specially created cascade lakes, of which we have four, we breed sturgeon, carp, carp, roach and white amur, providing our guests with a fresh and natural delicacy, which goes well with our wine.

Horse breeding is the epitome of elegance and grace, beautiful horses graze gracefully across spacious, green meadows, complementing the overall atmosphere of the winery complex and bringing joy to equestrian enthusiasts.

Growing fruit trees is another part of our unique complex. We grow varieties such as walnuts, almonds, pistachios, persimmons, mulberries and many others.

There is also a great greenhouse where we grow oranges, mandarins, lemons and grapefruit. Inside it has a special place – a round walnut pergola, which is decorated with elaborate hand-carvings. The highlight is the winter harvest period, where you can enjoy the aroma of citrus fruits in the December frost and retreat to a cozy setting surrounded by greenery and vibrant fruits.

Vineyards

Only the best Bordeaux and Provence grapes are used in the production of wines that are among the prestigious five most expensive and respected brands in the world: Chateau Petrus, Chateau Margaux, Chateau lafite-Rothschild, Chateau Mouton-Rothschild and Chateau Cheval Blanc. We also chose these varieties to make our wines, inspired by their age-old history.

We grow 10 selected grape varieties from the provinces of France:

white varieties:

  • Chardonnay
  • Sauvignon Blanc
  • Viognier
  • Muskat Ottonel
  • Muscat Petit

red varieties:

  • Merlot
  • Cabernet Franc
  • Syrah
  • Cabernet Sauvignon
  • Pinot Noir

In addition, we grow two varieties of Georgian grapes adapted to our climate:

  • Saperavi
  • Rkatsiteli.

The location of our vineyards is truly unique. It has a sharply continental climate with warm winters, when temperatures rarely fall below +6°C, and hot summers, when temperatures reach 45-50°C. Our vineyards are located in Turkestan province, on the border with Uzbekistan, so there are more than enough clear, sunny days a year. This region is in the seventh light zone, where the sum of the PAR exceeds the norm by 100%. Thanks to these conditions, we grow high-quality grapes and create truly magnificent and one-of-a-kind wines.
